Have a look at the seeds we have on offer – click here or give us a call at 613-472-3122. If there is something you would like that we do not offer, please let us know, and we’ll see what we can do.
• Pick up your seeds - five packets per patron
• Plant your seeds
• Enjoy the fruits, vegetables, or flowers that you have grown
1. Grow your garden
2. Isolate the varieties you want to save seeds from
3. Choose the best plants—strongest, tastiest, prettiest, or most productive—and let them go to seed and ripen fully
4. Optional: wet-process seeds from wet fruits, like tomatoes, by soaking the seedy pulp 2-3 days in a jar of water, then rinsing
5. Dry all seeds completely
6. Label them. Store in a sealed container in a cool dark place
7. Optional: Bring some back to the library!
• Please make sure your donated seed packages are well
labelled
• We gratefully accept new seed donations
• We would also appreciate seeds that you bring from your garden for others to grow next year
• Collect, dry, and label your seeds
